Middle Phase (Years 7 – 9) – Becoming

A middle phase student is about the transition and recognition of becoming more deeply connected with the Padua community. During a time of great physical, emotional, social change and development, students are supported through the growth of House identity through building positive relationships with teachers and peers. Through the vertical pastoral care system students will establish routines, identify role models and strengthen their sense of belonging.

In the Middle Phase, curriculum has a sense of purpose and is designed to maximise real world connections through experiential learning. Students are given increasing opportunities to gain independence, self-direction and a passion for their learning. Learning allows for engagement and challenge both in and out the classroom while recognising resilience as a key component to their success.
