Governance
Padua College is wholly-owned by the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscan Province of the Holy Spirit) and was incorporated in 1996. The College is governed by the Board of Directors of Padua College Limited. As such, we are an independent school, responsible for our own direction and performance.
The Board consists of 11 members of the Padua community, including parents of current and past students, Old Boys, past teachers, and two members of the Franciscan Order. The Board meets monthly and all members volunteer their time, professional expertise and effort.
The Board is responsible for:
- Corporate leadership and governance
- Financial accountability
- Appointment of the Rector
- Strategic planning and policy setting
- Risk management and compliance
- Performance reviews
The Rector and the Senior Leadership Team manage the College’s day-to-day operations. The Board is always conscious of the need to recognise and manage the College’s main stakeholder groups. These main stakeholder groups are depicted in the following diagram:
