Water Polo

waterpolo

Water polo is a fast and energetic game, which continues to grow in popularity. It is played in Term 4 as an unofficial AIC sport. There are only four water polo teams (13s, 14s, 15s and Opens) who play a half-season against other AIC schools.

The boys train once a week for water polo and are encouraged to train at least one other swimming session. Games are played on Wednesday afternoons at the Padua pool or at a visiting pool.

Over the past few years, Padua has seen some excellent results in water polo, with a number of teams going through the season undefeated. Many boys play for clubs and some have gone on to represent Metropolitan North and Queensland Schoolboy teams.

The water polo uniform includes Padua swimmers (to be purchased from the Uniform Shop) and a polo cap (provided by the College). Students are expected to wear the sports uniform or full College uniform to games.

During the season, further information including training times, team lists, coaching staff, schedules and results are available through the tabs above and Sharepoint.
