Padua fields 19 tennis teams in the AIC Competition during Term 3 and 4.
All fixtures are played on Saturday mornings. Our home courts are at Shaw Tennis Wooloowin and Healthworks Everton Hills.
Every player on game day will play a singles and doubles match. This usually consists of one set (except for the First IV).
Training occurs before and after school and is outsourced to Shaw Tennis and their accredited coaches. Teams are managed by Padua Staff. Most teams train at least twice a week in either ability or age groups. Training schedules can be found on the College Website.
The annual Padua Tennis Championships is open to all Padua students and is held on a Sunday in Term 2. Both Junior and Senior singles and doubles are keenly contested throughout the day. The winners are awarded with trophies at the next Sports Assembly.
The tennis uniform consists of the white Padua sports polo, black HPE shorts, Padua sports socks and Padua cap. These are all purchased through the Uniform Shop. Competition for places in the First IV every year is very competitive and it is seen as real honour.
