AMAROO OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE
The College has an outdoor education complex, "Amaroo", built on a site between Pomona and Lake Cootharaba.
Amaroo is set on a sprawling 62 hectares in the Noosa Hinterland. It is Padua's own private outdoor education facility. Featuring staff and student sleeping quarters, an activities/dining centre and full on-site catering facilities, Amaroo can host over 80 students in dormitory style accommodation.
On the property itself, outdoor pursuits for students include; three climbing courses (high ropes and low ropes), bouldering and climbing walls, orienteering trails, mountain biking tracks, personal challenge courses, zip lines and general sporting activities.
Located 25 minutes from Noosa and under 10 minutes from Lake Cootharaba means that Amaroo can also cater for many different water sports and other adventure activities. Students have access to a fleet of mountain bikes and surfboards, and canoes, kayaks and ocean rafts for the brave.
